KeyboardTest is built to collect as little data as possible — the tester runs entirely in your browser.

What we collect

• Nothing you type. Keystrokes, key codes, timing, rollover counts and test results never leave your device. There is no upload endpoint — you can load the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tester keeps working.
• No accounts, no tracking cookies. There is no sign-up, no analytics beacon of our own, and no cross-site tracking. The tester doesn’t even use localStorage — closing the tab resets everything.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, timestamp — to deliver pages and prevent abuse. That’s the extent of data processing.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled on this site, partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies to serve and measure ads, and you can opt out of personalization in your Google ad settings. The tester itself does not depend on ads.
